AustCham Lao Webinar: How to hold effective and engaging meetings online (Complimentary event)
Online meetings are becoming a necessary part of our work lives, but they are often difficult, frustrating and boring. Putting a little thought into online meeting design and facilitation can have significant payoffs, not only in improving the decisions and outcomes from a meeting, but also in creating a happier, more engaged organization. This hands-on online workshop will address:
– Basic principles of online meeting design and facilitation that can be applied to different platforms
– Tips for preventing some common meeting pitfalls and ways to increase engagement online
The webinar will be facilitated in an interactive format on the Zoom platform, where participants will participate in activities and learn from others. Special consideration will be given to the Lao context, for example in dealing with different levels of comfort with technology, and how to encourage participants who are less inclined to speak in front of a group. Because of the participatory nature of the workshop, participants should join on a computer and come prepared to turn on their video to take advantage of the experience.
